Year(s) were you were part of the team:  2011-2016

University:  Santa Fe College

Major: Computer Software Engineering

What did you work on when you were on the team?

Most of the time I worked in Mechanical/Chassis, though I did some Electrical as well.

What was the most valuable thing you learned by being a member of the team?

The most valuable thing I learned by being a member of Roaring Riptide was to collaborate with others in terms of deadlines. (As well as balancing out Robotics with Academic work.)

What impact did being a member of the Roaring Riptide have on your life?

What impacted me from my experience with Roaring Riptide, is how even though some of us were in many clubs aside from Robotics, we managed to get along with each other like a family

Have you worked for any companies or labs either full-time or for an internship? If so, which ones?

I have not worked for any companies/labs for full-time/internship yet.

What are some projects that you’ve worked on since graduating high school?

Some projects I am working on are: establishing a website for my clubs at Santa Fe (still in development), as well as using the 3D printer we have here to build a miniature “robot” (Yes, it’s made of plastic and you can move it with your hands but not with controllers and the likes) for some of the students here to help with their dexterity.

In 5 years, I see myself completing my Bachelor’s at the University of Florida and hopefully working with Microsoft or Lockheed Martin.
